Turkey Wing Broom – Handwoven & Tied are wonderful to use in your home or give as a gift!

Our handmade Turkey Wing Brooms are unique to the United States. Not only are they ‘functional’ art, they were designed to mimic the look of an actual turkey’s wing. Prior to broom corn being used in the colonies, a find of the celebrated Benjamin Franklin, during his visits abroad. Settlers were known to have used real turkey wings as a table or crumb broom.

When you receive your new broom, put it up to your nose, and inhale. You may keep it just as a reminder of the sweet smells of spring or a barn filled with fresh straw or hay.

Our handcrafted whisk brooms are as beautiful as they are functional. Great for sweeping up after projects around the house, shop, in your recreational vehicle or for display purposes. Our handmade brooms are perfect wedding gifts and/or as ceremonial art. All of our brooms are made by hand in Maine, from high quality all natural broomcorn.
